BBK Investment LLC buys property at 4317 University Blvd. S.

BBK Investment LLC, led by manager Shin T. Seo, bought the University Center South shopping center at 4317 University Blvd. S. for $5 million.

Seo, of Jacksonville, bought the 3.59-acre property Tuesday from Tavaco Properties LLC.

Tavaco sold the property through University Bennett LLC of West Hollywood, California.

VyStar Credit Union issued a $3.9 million mortgage to BBK Investment for the purchase.

The shopping center, built between 1972 and 1984, comprises three buildings totaling 44,211 square feet, according to property records. One building contains second-floor office space.

Major tenants include Hala's Mideast Market & Eatery, Taste of Thai, Korean BBQ, China Dragon, European Mix Grocery Market, Southern Nutrition Center, Jackson Pharmacy and Firehouse Subs.

Tavaco paid almost $3 million for the property in 2013, property records show.
