Live Bar nightclub owner buys Downtown building he leases

Property at 327-345 E. Bay St. sells for for $2.85 million.

Downtown Jacksonville nightclub owner Klodian “John” Ferra bought the two-story building that he leases at 327-345 E. Bay St. for $2.85 million.

He bought it Jan. 27 through 327 E. Bay LLC from Liberty-Bay Inc., led by attorney Michael Basford.

The 38,835-square-foot building is across from the former Duval County Courthouse and City Hall site, the proposed The Ford on Bay retail and multifamily residential development. 

Ferra secured a mortgage from Liberty-Bay Inc. for $2.35 million.

Ferra operates the Live Bar at 331 E. Bay St. on the property. Other businesses in the building include Myth Nightclub; element Bistro Bar and Lounge; and Gene T. Moss Attorney at Law.

Basford said Jan. 31 he was working on details with Klodian, transferring tenant leases.

He said Klodian was exploring scenarios to develop the building, including the addition of three floors for residential use. 

Klodian was unavailable for comment.
