North Beach Bistro closes in Atlantic Beach

The restaurant had been operating since 2008.

After more than 11 years in business, North Beach Bistro in Atlantic Beach closed its doors Jan. 12, owner Anissa Chao confirmed. Anissa and her husband, Daniel, bought the restaurant 10 months ago. 

They said they were not able to provide further comment about the restaurant’s closing as of Jan. 14. 

The restaurant operated at 725 Atlantic Blvd., Suite 6, in North Beach Center.

On Jan. 14, the restaurant’s Facebook page had been taken down. Its website was active.

David Seavey opened the restaurant in 2008 and served as executive chef until last year, when he sold the business to the Chaos. 

Patricia Owings, senior broker and associate with Strategic Sites Clifford Commercial, is the broker on the 7,000-square-foot restaurant, office and warehouse. She said she would be leasing the space and hopes to sign a family-friendly restaurant or sports bar,

 Other tenants in the shopping center include Cantina Louie, The Fish Company, Organic Nails and Atlantic East Animal Clinic.
