The Falcone Group, a Boca Raton-based private investment organization, applied for master development plan review of its proposed 298-unit Beachwalk Apartments Phase II in St. Johns County.

Falcone applied through Beachwalk Retail Developers LLC for the project at northeast of County Road 210 West and Beachwalk Boulevard.

Plans show the almost 12-acre parcel with six apartment buildings, an amenity building, five garage buildings, a maintenance building, park space and 553 surface parking spaces. The apartments comprise 149 one-bedroom units; 121 two-bedroom units; and 28 three-bedroom units.

The property previously was cleared for development under a mass grading permit.

Prosser Inc., a Jacksonville-based planning and civil engineering firm, is the applicant for the project.

The developer could not be reached for comment and project details.

The site is across Beachwalk Boulevard from the 348-unit Sentosa Beachwalk apartments, renamed The Elysian after the Falcone Group, through Sentosa Beachwalk Apartments LLC, sold the development to Tampa-based American Landmark Apartments for $79.5 million, or $228,448 per unit.
