South Imeson Industrial Park in West Jacksonville is gaining two projects.
Haskew Company Inc. is the contractor for the $2.2 million project, according to a building-permit application.
The city issued a sign permit Feb. 28 for Coastal Moving & Storage at the address. Nine Enterprises Inc. is the contractor for the $7,200 project.
The city issued a concurrency reservation certificate Jan. 28. Coastal Moving & Storage paid $295,360 for the property in March in a purchase from Imeson Holdings Ltd.
Coastal Moving & Storage is based in Savannah.
The city calculated a mobility fee of $18,993 for the project.
M.C.I. Express Inc. paid $939,845 for the property April 12. It bought the land from Imeson Holdings LLC.
M.C.I. Express granted the deed May 1 to Twin V Enterprise Inc., owned by M.C.I.’s leadership.
M.C.I. Express is based in Medley in South Florida. It says it operates in the niche as an expediter or specialized carrier “moving predominantly service sensitive freight in state-of-the art dry vans or reefers, for frozen and chilled commodities. It has developed a growing customer base that requires prompt reliable service when time is of the essence.”
That includes hauling sale merchandise, dated materials and goods that are due for on-time deliveries to meet schedules, appointments and waiting riggers.
A reefer is a refrigerated trailer.
South Imeson Industrial Park developer John. J. “Jack” Allen said one lot of 2.17 usable acres remains available for sale or a build-to-suit. Allen is president of Imeson Inc., which is the manager of Imeson Holdings LLC. He owns Allen Land Group Inc.
