Retailer Tommy Bahama said through a representative that it closed all of its locations in March for the COVID-19 pandemic and is beginning to strategically reopen this month.

It closed the Tommy Bahama at St. Johns Town Center.

That store is moving across the street into a space that was renovated to include a Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar.

The company said the Jacksonville location will open soon, but did not have a date.

The location is near Nordstrom and Louis Vuitton.

Tommy Bahama announced in August the Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar would provide a “casual, relaxing environment for guests to eat, drink and shop.”

It said the 7,760-square-foot floor plan combines a retail store with a casual restaurant and bar .

At the Marlin Bar, guests order at the counter and the food and drinks are delivered to their table. It is an open concept design with a large patio.

The retail store includes the full line of Tommy Bahama  men’s and women’s sportswear, with swimwear, accessories and home décor items.

In August, Tommy Bahama said construction was scheduled for completion early this year.

At Town Center, the store is stocked with merchandise and the patio furniture is set up.
