Atlanta developer Shelton McNally Real Estate Partners LLC proposes a 300-unit apartment project north of Regency Square Mall in Jacksonville’s Arlington area.
The developer filed civil engineering plans with the city Sept. 29 for Novo Kendall Town apartments on about 16 acres at Kendall Town Boulevard and Kendall Town Drive within Kendall Town Center.
England-Thims & Miller Inc. is the civil engineer.
Plans show 10 apartment buildings, eight garages and a clubhouse and pool.
The site is between Southside Connector and Interstate 295, north of Monument Road.
Shelton McNally’s website shows five projects, three of them branded as Novo. The five comprise three in Georgia and one each in Tennessee and South Carolina.
The company is led by principals Jim Shelton and Conor McNally, who founded the company in 2017. It says it buys and builds projects in the multifamily, student housing, office and mixed-use markets in the Southeast and Midwest.
Novo Mauldin, near Greenville, South Carolina, is an example of its new projects.
Shelton McNally’s website describes the 330-unit Novo Mauldin apartment development as offering “an affordable lifestyle with access to great retail, parks and highly rated public schools.”
It will feature one-, two- and three-bedroom units and amenities that include a fitness center, pool, resident lounge, leasing center, dog park and car wash.
Its average unit size is 943 square feet.
Construction began in February for completion in November 2021.
