On March 25, students from Jean Ribault and William H. Raines senior high schools visited the University of North Florida for a campus tour and introduction to the UNF pre-law program.

The students learned about admissions requirements and met a panel of current pre-law students.

After the tour and panel discussion, the students had lunch with mentors from the Young Lawyers Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association and the D.W. Perkins Bar Association in preparation for their annual mock trial competition.

The YLS Future Lawyers and Leaders program also provides student leaders at Jean Ribault Senior High School mentors and exposure to the legal profession.

Each year students and mentors interact through luncheons, field trips and mock trial practices.

The program culminates the year by presenting a mock trial in the Bryan Simpson U.S. Courthouse.
