The city issued a permit Jan. 4 for River City Construction Group LLC to build-out 5,760 square feet of space for World of Beer Bar & Kitchen at 5105 Butler Blvd. at Liberty Center.
World of Beer’s area franchise owner wants to renovate 5,750 square feet of interior and 1,553 square feet of outdoor space, with a patio cover, for the project, whose address also is 7077 Bonneval Road.
Through Hospitality Leaders Jax 1 Inc., World of Beer’s franchise owners applied to the city for a certificate of use.
The franchisee group said in July it hopes to open in the second quarter of 2022 and in Jacksonville Beach, where it also wants to operate a rooftop patio.
St. Johns County issued a permit Jan. 14 for construction of an Ellianos coffee shop at a cost of $180,000 at 235 Harper Lane in Durbin Creek Crossing.
The city issued a permit Jan. 21 for North Coast Construction Co. to renovate Wendy’s at 7211 Normandy Blvd.
The $250,000 project will be a dining-room upgrade and some exterior work.
