Mayor Lenny Curry tests positive for COVID-19

He is following guidelines from the CDC and isolating at home through the end of this week.

Jacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry has contracted coronavirus, the city said in news release Jan. 4.

After experiencing mild, coldlike symptoms, Curry took an in-home COVID-19 test with positive results, according to the release from the mayor’s office.

Curry is following the latest guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and is isolating at home through the end of this week.

“Mayor Curry would like to express his thanks to our healthcare and frontline workers who continue to battle this pandemic,” the release states.
