The city issued a permit April 10 for AutoNation USA to build a used car dealership and showroom at 11639 Abess Blvd. in the Atlantic North development at northwest Kernan and Atlantic boulevards.
Rycon Construction of Alpharetta, Georgia, is the contractor for the $3.81 million construction project on 5.34 acres, the permit shows.
The city approved a site-clearing permit June 23, 2022, of the heavily wooded site at a cost of $62,500.
According to the permit, the project will comprise a 17,256-square-foot enclosed building and 3,122 square feet of unenclosed space.
ANUSA LLC of Fort Lauderdale will operate the project on a ground lease.
MPLD Consulting of West Palm Beach is the consultant. Castle Design Group of Houston is the architect.
Jacksonville-based Sleiman Enterprises is the property owner and developer.
The AutoNation site is near the new Tesla sales and service center and the Audi Jacksonville dealership.
