Scooter’s Coffee, which intends to open up to 16 locations in Northeast Florida, has two in progress.
Its first Northeast Florida location is at 151 Park Ave. in Orange Park.
In January 2022, Omaha, Nebraska-based Scooter’s Coffee said its goal is to open 1,000 stores by 2024, and that Northeast Florida is an essential part of that strategy.
Scooter’s offers espresso drinks, fruit smoothies and pastries.
Its signature drink is the Caramelicious, an espresso that features caramel sauce, frothy hot milk and whipped cream drizzled with caramel.
It also offers organic hot and iced teas.
Scooter’s Coffee is in St. Johns River Water Management District review for a drive-thru coffee shop at 3080 New Berlin and Yellow Bluff roads in North Jacksonville.
The 678-square-foot building is planned on a 0.76-acre site that is now vacant.
RedRobin Enterprises LLC is the applicant. MJ Stokes Consulting of Tampa is the agent.
Yellow Bluff New Berlin LLP, affiliated with Jacksonville-based Pinestreet/RPS, is the property owner.
RedRobin is led by Scooter’s franchisees Jennifer and Timothy Redcloud and Dorie and Barry Robinson.
The city issued a permit Feb. 15 for JY Construction Group LLC to build a 664-square-foot Scooter’s Coffee drive-thru on 0.69-acre at 13753 Beach Blvd.
JY Construction, of Fort Lauderdale, will build the project at a construction cost of $350,000.
The site is at northeast Beach Boulevard and Gerona Drive.
It is west of Hodges Boulevard in the Beach Haven area.
The franchise owner is Saint Johns-based Josephine’s Coffee LLC, led by Edward and Kristina Grimes.
