The city issued a permit Nov. 21 for Becknell Services LLC to build-out space for HD Supply in Westlake Industrial Park at a project cost of $5 million.

Beckell will build-out the 419,284-square-foot Building 2 at 11006 Development Way in the West Jacksonville park.

Becknell Services LLC of La Grange, Illinois, is the construction manager. Kimley-Horn is the civil engineer. Craig Kouri Architect of La Grange is the architect.

The project comprises offices; improvements to the dock equipment; electrical, lighting and HVAC systems; and other work.

HD Supply distributes appliances, electrical, hardware and HVAC equipment, among other categories.

Building 2, on 35.64 acres, is one of three that Becknell Industrial is developing in Westlake.

Miami-based Frida Baby is leasing the 270,216-square-foot Building 1 on 24.28 acres.

Becknell also is developing the 270,216-square-foot Building 3.

Becknell at Westlake Industrial Park is a three-building project totaling about 960,000 square feet off Pritchard Road in Westlake, where Southeast Toyota and BJ’s Wholesale Club, among other companies, have a significant presence. The park is west of Interstate 295.

Colliers Senior Vice President Guy Preston, who represents Becknell, previously confirmed Building 2 is leased but could not comment on the tenant’s identity.

“The majority of tenants in the market have a tight timeline, and because the building was complete with a Certificate of Occupancy in place, it was an ideal fit to meet the tenant’s occupancy timing,” he said.
