Maryland hotel group pays $36.75 million for Four Points by Sheraton Jacksonville Beachfront

The six-story, 80-unit oceanfront property at 11 N. First St. was built in 2001 and renovated in 2014.

Maryland-based Harrison Group Hotels bought the Four Points by Sheraton Jacksonville Beachfront on Nov. 15 for $36.75 million.

The six-story, 80-suite oceanfront hotel at 11 N. First St. in Jacksonville Beach sold for $459,375 a unit.

Oceanfront Lodging II Inc. of Ponte Vedra Beach sold the property to Harrison Jacksonville LLC of Ocean City, Maryland.

Oceanfront Lodging is led by President Sonny Bhikha.

Four Points by Sheraton Jacksonville Beachfront is south of SeaWalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach.

Wells Fargo Bank of San Antonio financed the deal for Harrison Jacksonville LLC with a mortgage of almost $22.2 million.

The deed and mortgage were recorded Nov. 22 with the Duval County Clerk of Courts.

The hotel was built in 2001-02. TravelWeekly.com says it was renovated in 2014.

The purchase comprises 1.6 acres for the 1.35-acre hotel site and a 0.25-acre parking lot.

The hotel’s website says the all-suite property offers high-speed Wi-Fi, flat-panel TVs, kitchenettes and pullout sofas. Each suite has a balcony.

Amenities include a restaurant, lobby bar, fitness center and meeting space. 

Harrison Group’s website, ocmdhotels.com, shows 18 hotel properties in the Ocean City area.
