The board meets 11 times a year to review the activities and finances of the JBA. One or two times a year each member of the board writes an article for our Bar Bulletin about a topic of interest to the board member.

Board members also represent the association at naturalization ceremonies at the Bryan Simpson U.S. Courthouse.

The operations of the association such as managing events, calendars, our website, social media, etc., are handled by the executive director and staff.

This differs from many other local voluntary Bar associations as traditionally, the board handles the operations of the organization.

The JBA is fortunate to have a great team that oversees the association’s daily business.
