As it expands across Northeast Florida, Dutch Bros Coffee is pushing north into Nassau County.
The Oregon-based coffee kiosk chain is planning a location in the Wildlight master-planned community off Florida 200 about 2 miles east of Interstate 95, according to an environmental resource permit application under review with the St. Johns River Water Management District. Sloan Engineering Group Inc. of Bartow is the civil engineer.
The Wildlight location would be the first Dutch Bros in Nassau County and, by latitude, the northernmost in Florida, edging out a Pensacola store that currently holds that distinction by about 9 miles.
The project has yet to be reviewed by the county Development Review Committee, the first step in the building permit process.
The Nassau County project reflects the company’s ongoing expansion across Northeast Florida, with five area kiosks opened since August 2024 in Baymeadows, St. Augustine, Saint Johns, Southwest Jacksonville and West Jacksonville.
The chain opened its first Northeast Florida kiosk in August 2024 and has since identified at least 15 locations that are open or targeted for construction in the region. Dutch Bros offers specialty coffee, teas, lemonades, smoothies and its signature Rebel energy drinks.
Wildlight is a 24,000-acre community developed by Raydient Places + Properties, a subsidiary of Rayonier Inc. It includes residential, retail, office and health care development.
