Einstein Bros. Bagels is planning a Julington Creek location in northwest St. Johns County.
At 485 Florida 13 N., Suite 3, the store is planned at the Julington Station shopping center. The county issued a $425,000 build-out permit Aug. 13 following a $3,500 sign permit June 29.
Einstein Bros. Bagels has three other Jacksonville locations, at 1661 Riverside Ave., Suite 130; 13546 Beach Blvd., Unit 1; and the University of North Florida, along with shops in Orange Park at 410 Blanding Blvd. and in Fleming Island at 1581 County Road 220.
Einstein Bros. Bagels announced in June that it plans to open more than 300 new shops across the United States by 2030, bringing its store count to more than 1,000.

CEO Jessica DePetro said in the news release the company is confident in its ability to expand.
“We’ve spent years perfecting a highly scalable store model that delivers fresh, high-quality breakfast with the convenience today’s guests expect, and now we’re accelerating that model across the country,” DePetro said.
“We are at an inflection point for both our brand and the broader bagel category. Americans have voted with their mornings, and the data is clear: Bagels are winning.”
Built in 2006, Julington Station sold in 2025 for $11.59 million. The two buildings comprising the shopping center were sold to Curbline Properties Corp., a publicly traded real estate investment trust specializing in convenience shopping centers. The seller was Peter Sleiman Development Group.
The deal was part of an overall Curbline acquisition of 10 shopping centers in Duval and St. Johns counties valued at $86.3 million.
