FaverGray has promoted Ben J. Hinson to president, the Jacksonville Beach-based general contractor announced July 8.
For Hinson, the promotion is the latest step in an ascension that began after he joined the company as a project manager. From there, he rose to senior project manager to division leader and then to executive vice president in 2019.
As president, Hinson is responsible for implementing and managing corporate strategy and vision, managing overall corporate operations and budgeting, operational risk management, market sector analysis, management of client relationships and oversight of large-scale program development.
“More than his accomplishments, those who know Hinson know him for his integrity, humility and dedication to the people and values that have shaped FaverGray since its founding,” the company said in a news release. “Throughout his career, he has earned the trust and respect of employees, clients and industry partners through his leadership, character and genuine care for others.”
The release said W. Keith Faver, a cofounder of the company, has transitioned to chair of the board. Cofounder James A. Gray will remain CEO.
FaverGray was listed in Northeast Florida’s 2026 Top Contractors list in the Jacksonville Daily Record, which ranks companies based on local revenue. The company, which specializes in multifamily and student housing construction, reported its 2025 local revenue at $47.1 million and its overall revenue at $205 million.
The release said Hinson’s leadership had contributed to more than $3 billion in contracted revenue and the delivery of more than 20,000 units.
