The Little Gym of Fernandina Beach, a franchise location of the national children’s movement and development program for children ages 4 months through 12 years, plans a grand opening in Fernandina Beach on July 18.
A news release about the center at 96032 Victoria’s Place says it will offer movement-based learning, gymnastics classes and confidence-building programs.
Instruction is built around a proprietary philosophy the company calls Three-Dimensional Learning, which spans physical, cognitive and social and emotional development.
According to the release, the gym is owned and operated by spouses Karen and Josh Womack. The couple returned to Northeast Florida after 20 years living elsewhere and said they recognized the need for more family-focused activities and space for children.
“Returning to an area that has been such an important part of my life story for so long and now opening a business here with my family gives us the opportunity to become part of the community in a new and really special way,” Karen Womack said in the release.
The Fernandina Beach location will be open 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays; 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays.; and 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. It will be closed Fridays and Sundays.
Founded in 1992, The Little Gym operates nearly 400 locations in 31 countries, including the U.S., Canada, China and the United Kingdom. It is part of the Unleashed Brands portfolio, which also includes Urban Air, Sylvan Learning, Snapology, Class 101, Premier Martial Arts and Water Wings Swim School.
