Conveyor belt sushi is coming to Tinseltown.

Signage on the former Hooters at 4521 Southside Blvd. shows Supra Revolving Sushi Bar is moving into that spot. The restaurant is adjacent to the Cinemark Tinseltown and XD theater complex, which is the source of the commercial area’s commonly used name.

The Hooters restaurant has been empty since it closed almost a year ago. That closing was one of 30 in the chain that occurred around the country in June 2025.

Supra is based in Linden, New Jersey. Its website and Instagram page list only the restaurant in New Jersey, suggesting Jacksonville will be its second location.

Calls to the New Jersey ownership were not returned.

It is an all-you-can-eat concept where sushi dishes come to tables on a conveyor belt. It is also a full-service restaurant where diners can order specific items.

It serves nigiri, sashimi, rolls made with salmon, tuna, shrimp or beef. Entrees include hibachi, ramen and teriyaki, according to the Supra website.

Beverages include bubble tea, fruit teas, Japanese sodas and hot tea.

Prices listed on its website are $21.99 for lunch and $32.99 for dinner. The price is listed as $32.99 on holidays and weekends. Children’s menu pricing is available.

Nara Revolving Sushi, 10850 U.S. 1 in the Shoppes of Valley Ridge, will offer a similar conveyor belt service. It takes novelty serving methods a step further by having robots deliver food table side. When it opens, it will be the second location. It originated in Pooler, Georgia, in 2023. The restaurant’s website has no information about an opening date.
