The first phase of the Baptist SilverLeaf Medical Campus is scheduled to open June 23, Baptist Health announced.

The 58,979-square-foot facility is at 8595 St. Johns Parkway in St. Augustine, about 3 miles north of International Golf Parkway and Tocoi Creek High School.

St. Johns County permitted the $16.8 million project in January 2025. Perry-McCall Construction of Jacksonville is the contractor.

The first phase includes offices for primary care and a wellness center, and provides cardiology, rehabilitation and laboratory services. Orthopedic and neurology specialists will begin receiving patients in the fall, according to a news release.

“We believe health care should grow alongside the communities it serves,” Matthew A. Zuino, president and CEO of Baptist Health, said in a news release. “

Zuino said building the campus reflects Baptist Health’s commitment to giving residents access to quality preventive and specialty care “where they live and work.” The release says the medical campus is designed to serve the approximately 1.02 million people living within a 30-minute drive of the site.

Phase two of the Baptist campus is an emergency facility planned to open in September. It will house two centers, one for adults and another for patients ages 18 and under. The release says the new ER will provide access to the specialized pediatric care of Wolfson Children’s Hospital, the only full-service children’s hospital and ACS-verified Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center in the region.
