Parker’s Kitchen is planning a St. Augustine gas station and convenience store, the first St. Johns County location for the Savannah-based chain.
On May 8, St. Johns County received a preapplication meeting request to discuss a 6,344-square-foot convenience store with eight fueling stations and 16 pumps at 1020 Florida 16 between Daveston Avenue and Long Road, north of Publix at The Shoppes at Mission Trace and about 2.5 miles east of downtown St. Augustine.

The store would be the southernmost location in Northeast Florida for Parker’s Kitchen.
Raleigh, North Carolina-based Kimley-Horn is the civil engineer. The property is owned by Baker Living Trust of St. Augustine.
St. Johns County says preapplication meetings allow staff to provide feedback on project plans, at no cost, before an applicant has substantially invested in designs or becomes committed to a particular solution that may not align with county regulations.
The county Development Review Committee is scheduled to discuss the project June 6.

In 2024, Parker’s Kitchen seemed to be exploring a different site off County Road 210. City utility JEA reviewed a Dec. 9 request for a convenience store that matched the chain’s 5,175-square-foot store footprint. The county later received a Jan. 3, 2025, preapplication and met about the project, but it did not advance.
Parker’s Kitchen features Southern comfort food. It has at least 102 stores in Georgia and South Carolina and is expanding into Jacksonville with several confirmed sites as well as new markets in South Carolina.
