Jacksonville-based Coastal Construction Products sold to Beacon Building Products

Coastal Construction CEO Martin Harrell will lead new waterproofing division.

Beacon Building Products announced Nov. 1 it acquired Jacksonville-based Coastal Construction Products.

Coastal Construction is one of the largest independent distributors of specialty waterproofing products in the U.S., Beacon said in a news release.

Beacon, based in Herndon, Virgina, sells waterproofing products throughout its commercial and residential roofing branches and 13 specialty waterproofing locations in the West. Coastal Construction, which serves the Southeast and Midwest, has 18 locations dedicated to waterproofing.

Martin Harrell, Coastal Construction’s chief executive officer, will lead Beacon’s new specialty waterproofing division.

This is Beacon’s fifth acquisition in the last 12 months, the release said.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
