Wicked Barley Brewing Co. partners want to start construction by April on their Baymeadows brewery and expect to open by the end of 2015.

The property is at southeast Baymeadows Road and Goodby’s Creek, a half-mile east of San Jose Boulevard. Plans include a dock that would be accessible by boat.

The number of seats hasn’t been determined but will include indoor, covered outdoor and open outdoor seating.

Partners bought the site, a little more than 2 acres, in August and completed City Council re-zoning approval in September.

Partner Tobin Turney said the group was completing architectural plans and looked forward to closing the financial deal in February.

The building will be about 7,000 square feet, with two-thirds of the space dedicated to the brewery and the rest used for front-of-the-house operations, the tap room and dining. The re-zoning allowed dining and on-site beer and wine sales as well as the craft beer production.

Tobin’s partners are Philip Maple and Brett Baker. Maple’s father, Bob Maple, will come out of retirement to join the team in the brewery. The chef is Bradley Sueflohn.
