The University of North Florida presented its draft Blueprint for Return to Campus in Fall 2020 during a conference call June 8 with the UNF board of trustees.

The draft blueprint, approved by the board at the meeting, can be viewed at unf.edu/coronavirus.

As requested by the Florida State University System, the draft blueprint provides operational strategies in the priority areas of a healthy campus environment, a healthy community environment, COVID-19 testing, contact tracing and surveillance and academic program delivery.

“This draft blueprint represents the combined efforts of the COVID-19 Task Force, four distinct working groups and continued input from across the Osprey community to ensure a thoughtful and responsible return to campus this fall,” said UNF President David Szymanski in a news release.

The draft plan is intended to provide an overview of the university’s reopening strategy and will evolve with feedback and new information about the status of COVID-19.

UNF plans to hold town hall meetings with faculty, staff and students. A web portal will be launched to provide members of the Osprey community an opportunity to comment and offer recommendations.
