Texas-based Buc-ee’s will open its 104-pump gas station and convenience store at World Commerce Center in St. Johns County on Feb. 22.
Buc-ee’s spokesperson Rachel Austin said in an email Feb. 5 that more information about the opening will be available next week.
The 53,254-square-foot store, pump station and 392 parking spaces are at 200 World Commerce Parkway at the Interstate 95 and International Golf Parkway interchange near World Golf Village.
By comparison, the Publix Super Market in Nocatee is about 55,000 square feet.
Permits show the 13.71-acre Buc-ee’s will have three fuel canopies comprising 52,948 square feet and two 120,000-gallon underground fuel tanks.
Buc-ee’s says it has 38 stores in Texas and began expanding outside the state in 2019. It also has stores in Loxley, Leeds and Robertsdale, Alabama, and Fort Valley, Georgia. Another is under development in Florence, South Carolina.
In Florida, another Buc-ee’s is under construction in Daytona Beach on the northeast side of the I-95/LPGA Boulevard interchange.
Buc-ee’s bought the St. Johns County site in November 2017.
