Tidal Wave Auto Spa plans to build at the site of the Walmart Supercenter in World Commerce Center, which would be the national automated car wash chain’s second St. Augustine location.
St. Johns County received a preapplication for the project June 16. Paulson Mitchell Wise, Inc., of Roswell, Georgia, is the civil engineer. Gatlin Development Co., through IGP WCC Project LLC, is the property owner, according to the county property appraiser website. Steinemann & Co. is the developer.
Site plans show a 3,600-square-foot car wash with 24 parking spaces.
According to tidalwaveautospa.com, the company operates more than 300 locations across 30 states, including its other St. Augustine location at 2789 Kenton Morrison Road, about 11 miles south of the World Commerce site.
The county development review committee is scheduled to discuss the World Commerce Center location July 8.
Other confirmed tenants at the supercenter include Chase Bank, Chick-fil-A, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Panda Express, Wells Fargo and White Castle.
