Discount retailer Dollar General is planning a store along U.S. 1 in the town of Hilliard in Nassau County, just south of the Florida/Georgia state line.
According to site plans under county review, the store is proposed to be 9,100 square feet with 30 parking spaces.

Roman and Gergana Pirgozliev of Folkston, Georgia, are the property owners. Tidewater Engineering of St. Simons Island, Georgia, is the civil engineer.
The county Development Review Committee is scheduled to discuss the project May 12.

Stores are operated by Dolgencorp LLC, a subsidiary of Dollar General Corp., based in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Dolgencorp also produces Dollar General-branded products.
