CBRE Group Inc. announced May 18 that William Gervin joined as a senior vice president in Jacksonville in the commercial real estate firm’s retail practice.

Gervin will “help lead and grow CBRE’s retail platform in North Florida, partnering with existing and future talent to expand the firm’s capabilities across the region and beyond,” the firm said in a news release.

Gervin has more than 20 years of retail real estate experience and will play a key role in advancing CBRE’s retail practice in the region, the release said.

Gervin also will focus on advisory services for complex retail and mixed-use redevelopment projects nationwide, while supporting regional agency and tenant representation, and portfolio and asset advisory services, the release said.

Before joining CBRE, Gervin served as founder and managing partner of Malcolm’s Road, a retail and mixed-use investment and advisory firm.

The release said he also spent more than 15 years with institutionally backed shopping center investment management platforms, including as vice president of leasing at ShopCore Properties, a Blackstone company, where he helped develop and lead leasing platforms across multiple regions.

Gervin’s LinkedIn profile shows he has led Malcolm’s Road in Ponte Vedra Beach since July 2024. From February 2015 to June 2024, he was with ShopCore Properties in San Diego County, California.

His experience started in 2003 as a summer intern with CBRE in Memphis, after which he worked in the industry in Atlanta and California before joining ShopCore.

“William’s extensive experience and national perspective make him a valuable addition to our Jacksonville team,” said Tommie Reilly, managing director at CBRE in Jacksonville.

“His proven ability to execute complex retail strategies and build strong relationships across the industry will strengthen our platform and enhance the level of service we deliver to our clients,” she said.
