Restaurant Notes: Ortega Park First Watch build-out approved; Dunkin’ at New Berlin, Rivertown

The city issued a permit July 8 for TWT Restaurant Design Construction & Development Co. to build-out 4,282 square feet of space for First Watch, The Daytime Cafe, at 4407 Roosevelt Blvd. in Ortega Park, also known as Roosevelt Square, at a cost of $350,000.

Crumbl Cookies opens

Crumbl Cookies opened July 9 at 3267 Hodges Blvd. with its weekly rotating menu of six of its more than 120 flavors.

“We love the traditional flavors, but also like to surprise our customers with new and fun concepts,” said Jason McGowan, Crumbl co-founder and CEO.

Staff members mix, bake, and prepare the cookies fresh in an open kitchen.

It always offers sugar and milk chocolate chip cookies. Nicholas Lai is the franchise owner at the address.

Dunkin’ at New Berlin and Rivertown

The city is reviewing a permit application for Dunkin’ to build a doughnut and coffee shop at 110 New Berlin Road in North Jacksonville.

The 1,258-square-foot building is planned on 0.41 acres at an estimated construction cost of $425,000.

St. Johns County received an application for Longleaf Donuts LLC to build a 1,265-square-foot Dunkin’ with two drive-thru lanes and patio seating, but no indoor seating, on 1.06 acres along Longleaf Pine Parkway and Greenbriar Road at Rivertown.
