JEA received a service availability request for Hwy55 Burgers, Shakes & Fries to build a 2,500-square-foot drive-thru restaurant in The Home Depot parking lot in Yulee.
The site is at 463809 Florida 200 at Chester Road.
Nassau County previously received a preapplication for Hwy 55 to build there.
That application shows it will be a 2,490-square-foot drive-thru and dine-in restaurant on 0.9 acre.
It appears to be the second Hwy 55 in Northeast Florida.
Hwy 55 Burgers, Shakes & Fries, a 31-year-old North Carolina chain, applied for a permit to build its first Jacksonville area restaurant at 6707 Commonwealth Ave. at an estimated $700,000.
That 2,501-square-foot restaurant and drive-thru is planned on 1.12 acres east of Interstate 295 in western Duval County.
