Retail Notes: Publix eTown liquor store build-out in review for interior work

The city is reviewing a permit application for Publix Super Markets Inc. to build-out the interior of its new liquor store at eTown.

The 2,100-square-foot store is at 11025 eTown Parkway in eTown Village Center.

Hawkins Construction Co. of Tarpon Springs is the contractor for the estimated $160,000 project.

The city issued three permits March 9 for Hawkins to build the Publix Super Markets Inc. store, the facade and another retail building at eTown for $7.95 million. 

Two permits comprise the $6 million, 48,848-square-foot Publix building and the $650,000 grocery facade and 2,100-square-foot retail shell for the Publix Liquors store.

The PARC Group announced Aug. 16, 2021, that Publix, with a drive-thru pharmacy, will open in early 2023.

Publix to renovate in Baymeadows

Publix Super Markets Inc. intends to renovate its grocery store at 10920 Baymeadows Road in Reedy Branch Commons at an estimated cost of $650,000.

It is a 43,841-square-foot project.

Target renovating in Arlington

Target Corp. is renovating its 129,451-square-foot Arlington store at 444 Monument Road at a cost of $1.79 million.

Groom Construction Co. Inc. of Salem, Massachusetts, is the contractor.

The renovation of the 31-year-old store includes an update to interior areas and utilities.
