The city issued a permit for FMGI Inc. to fully remodel the 210,907-square-foot Walmart Inc. store at 8808 Beach Blvd. at a cost of $500,000.
FMGI is based in Woodstock, Georgia.
The city also is reviewing an application for Walmart to renovate its Neighborhood Market at 10550 Old St. Augustine Road at $500,000.
Jacksonville-based Gate Petroleum Co. intends to renovate its store at 2150 Emerson St., near Philips Highway, at an estimated cost of $150,000.
