Petsense by Tractor Supply opens in Northwest Jacksonville

The retailer opened its first Northeast Florida store to sell pet supplies and services.

Petsense by Tractor Supply, a pet specialty retailer and subsidiary of Brentwood, Tennessee-based Tractor Supply Co., announced Feb. 7 that it opened in Jacksonville on Feb. 4.

Petsense by Tractor Supply says it sells pet products and services that include a full-service pet salon, food, supplies and more.

It sells supplies for animals including dogs, cats, fish, reptiles, birds and small pets.

Gina Eberti is the manager of the Jacksonville Petsense by Tractor Supply store at 6765 Dunn Ave., Suite 303, in Northwest Jacksonville.

It is open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.

It says it offers:

• Pet food, supplies and accessories from brands such as 4health, Fromm, Orijen, Purina Pro Plan, Diamond, Hill’s Science Diet, Victor, Zignature, KONG and more.

• Live reptile, fish and small pet adoptions including guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, rats and rabbits.

• Pet services including grooming, training, pet insurance, vet clinics, adoptions and WAG! Pet services.

The city issued a permit Oct. 10 for Wisconsin-based Lakeview Construction to build-out 6,220 square feet of space for PetSense at a cost of $420,360.

The store is next to Rowe’s IGA Supermarkets in Dunn Village at northeast Dunn Avenue and New Kings Road.

It is 2 miles north of a Tractor Supply store at 9025 New Kings Road.

As of October, Petsense had 189 stores in 25 states, including one in Middleburg. It has about 12 stores in Florida.
